Don’t Ever Quit

The final verses of Psalm 22 offer a glorious picture of the universal and eternal worship of the Living God. But hoping in what is yet to come does not mean that we ignore our suffering. This Psalm opens, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” and spills plenty of ink over honest laments and complaints. Faith in Christ calls us to hold suffering and special care; despair and hope; the cross and the empty tomb. As we navigate the hard edges of life, will we be a people who never quit?

Catching Our Breath in Creation

Every human being experiences the sweetness of life and pain of death. Each of us know the torment of enemies – whether people or voices in our head – and each of us knows how satisfying a nap or meal can be. In all that we face in life and death, God is present and pursues us with love. Let us experience this love by catching our breath in creation

Changes and Transformations

Today’s story in Mark 5:1-20 shows three of the most common misleading conclusions regarding change. It challenges us to live in the unconditional attitude of an integral and permanent transformation. We are grateful to hear today from our Director of Spiritual Formation, Dr. Carlos Correa Bernier as we explore the question, “What is the difference between temporary changes and permanent transformations?”
